A Bird eye view of AILET 2019 Exam Analysis and expected Cut Off

Chetan Jaiswal 15 Minutes

As per the notification, AILET 2019 was conducted peacefully on May 05, 2019 at 10 AM – 11.30 AM across 40 exam centers and 21 cities in India. AILET has always set its own standard and this year too, types of questions were standard and difficult to comprehend. The paper was balanced in approach and almost every chapter was covered while framing this paper. Selective study wouldn’t have helped you much. The overall level of difficulty of the paper was Medium to High.

In comparison to Symbiosis Law Admission Test – 2019, conducted yesterday, this paper was much more time consuming as well as difficult too. Still, if you would compare the overall paper in respect to AILET 2018, you would get some relief in terms of level of difficulty of the questions especially Legal Aptitude, Reasoning & GK sections. This could be one of the reason that AILET 2019 cut off would possibly go high. Questions from Numerical Ability were the brain twister and Questions of English needed much of the practice. A through preparation would have been required to excel in the paper like AILET 2019.

Section I : English- Total Questions = 35

English section of AILET 2019 was a right mix of the all the possible sections which can be asked in any of the competitive entrance exams. Questions were there from Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Figure of Speech, Ordering of Sentences, Cloze Test and English Grammar. The Parts of Speech questions were relatively difficult and so was Reading Comprehension Passage.

Section V : Legal Aptitude - Total Questions = 35

  • Multiple principles questions took time to read and understand the questions based on Legal Reasoning
  • With 2 sets of 5 principles followed by 3 questions each and another set of 3 principle followed by 3 questions, not only made the section lengthy but difficult too
  • There were questions based on Contract, Criminal Law and Law or Torts
