CLAT or Common Law Admission Test is a national-level entrance exam for admission to Undergraduate B.A. LL.B., BBA LL.B., B.Com. LL.B., B.Sc. LL.B. And Postgraduate LL.M. courses offered by the participating National Law Universities. The entrance exam is conducted in offline mode for a duration of two hours. Candidates qualifying CLAT are then shortlisted for admission to the NLUs through Centralized Counselling Process. CLAT exam scores are also accepted by private universities that have signed MOU with the consortium of NLUs.
Eligibility Criteria
All those candidates who are willing to appear for the CLAT 2025 should meet the eligibility criteria as announced by the Consortium of National Law Universities. All eligible candidates must fill the CLAT 2025 application form before the last date. The consortium released the updated eligibility criteria of CLAT 2025 for admission to 5-year LLB course on its official website. These criteria include parameters like academic qualification, minimum marks, age limit, etc.

STEPS
1.Open https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/ and click on CLAT 2025.
2. Click on Register for creating a new account to apply for CLAT 2025
3. Fill all the details and click on Register. Remember to provide mobile number and e-mail id which you are currently using as all the updates will be received on the same.
4. You will receive an OTP on the mobile no. provided by you. Fill the OTP and click on Activate.
5. Choose “Under Graduate (U.G.) 5-Year Ll.B. Programme” and then click on “Apply for CLAT 2024”. Then click Ok to confirm.
6. Fill all the Personal Information asked for. All the fields having a * are mandatory to fill, application will not proceed without filling these fields. Upload the photo and the signature. Then go to Communication Details.
Choose Yes/No for your category and upload the supporting documents for the same (if required).

7. Fill the details of your Permanent and Correspondence address, an alternate Mobile No. and an alternate E-mail id and then go to Qualifying Examinations Details. If your Permanent and Current (Correspondence) residence is same, then fill same details for both.
8. Fill all the Qualifying Examinations Details. If you have already cleared 12th standard, choose “Passed”. If you are studying in 12th standard, choose “Appearing/Appeared” and choose year of passing as 2024. Percentage of 12th Marks is not compulsory to be filled. Then go to Test Centre Preferences.
9. Choose your Centre City according to your preference. Keep the city you are currently living in at No.1 and other nearby cities at No.2 & 3. Then go to the last section of Reservation.
10. Now you will be asked to choose college specific reservations. Generally, every college provide state domicile reservation. Some colleges provide other reservations also like

- Kashmiri Hindu/Pandit (Non-Migrants)
- Residents from North East India
- Sports Quota for Boys

11.Click Submit Form. Then click OK.
12. Choose Update NLU Preferences. A list of preferences will be shown. Select colleges as per your preference. You can update their preferences any number of times until the last date - until 15th October 2024. If the preference is updated, every time you provide new preferences, your previously saved preferences will be deleted. Candidates will be considered for ONLY those NLUs for which they have provided the preference.
13. Click on Make Payment and pay the application fee. Select whether you want previous years’ question papers and then click Confirm Payment.
