Introduction:

CUET (UG) - 2023 stands for Common University Entrance Test UG 2022.

CUET (UG) - 2023 will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country, for the academic session 2022-23.

CUET (UG) - 2023 will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities.

It is a single entrance test for admission to Central Universities and other participating Institutions which will be admitting the candidates to their UG courses for the academic year 2022-23 based on the marks/NTA Score secured by them in this test.

The National Education Policy has clearly elucidated that the entrance to Higher Education should be through Common Entrance Test at the national level so that there is uniform standard of bench marking of candidates.

Role of NTA in CUET (UG) - 2023

NTA has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the CUET (UG) – 2023. Role of NTA is confined to registration of candidates, issue of admit cards, conduct of exam, host answer keys and invite challenges, finalise answer keys, process and declare results.

Eligibility, reservation, admission etc. are as per the rules and regulations of the respective Central University/ies/Participating Institutions.

• Nationality: Indian National citizen will be eligible to apply.
• Qualification: For UG, candidates must have qualified 12th level exam. Those failed in 1 or 2 subjects will b considered ineligible.
• Age Limit: There will be no age limit to apply for CUET UG 2023 examination.

How to Apply for CUET 2023

• Step-1: Visit the official website of CUET 2023.
• Step-2: For fresh registration, click on the “Registration” option.
• Step-3: Go through the complete instructions & procedure of online submission of form.
• Step-4: Fill in personal information & other asked details.
• Step-5: Choose the password & fill in the security pin and submit other required details.
• Step-6: Preview your details & enter OTP details.
• Step-7: Now log in using application no. & password.
• Step-8: Fill in the “University name & program” of your choice.
• Step-9: Select the test paper & subject for the first/ second slot of the examination.
• Step-10: Select four exam centers as per your preference.
• Step-11: Upload a passport-size photograph & signature in the prescribed format.
• Step-12: Re-check the details & then submit the fee as per no. of course.
• Step-13: Now click on, the “Submit” option.
• Step-14: A confirmation page will appear on your screen, take its printout for future use

CUET 2023 Exam Pattern

Candidates must check following points regarding CUET 2023 exam pattern for UG course:

UG courses:

• Exam mode: The examination will be held via online as Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
• Questions Type: Question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type questions.
• Language: There will be 13 languages for UG level course.
• No. of Sections: CUET UG will include 4 sections as Section IA, Section IB, Section II and Section III.
• Total No. of Questions: 100 questions will be asked in the question paper.
• Marking Scheme: 5 marks will be credited for each correct answer while 1 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Languages:

• 13 different languages – Punjabi, Telugu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, English, Hindi, Odia, Tamil, & Urdu

CUET BA LLB Exam Pattern 2023

The NTA has prescribed the exam pattern for the CUET LLB entrance exam. The CUET BA LLB 2023 as a whole will have three sections.

• The first section, Section 1 will have two parts - Section IA and Section IB. There will be 13 language options in Section IA and 19 languages in Section IB. Candidates will have to choose the languages while filling out the application form.
• Section IA and IB will have questions from reading comprehension (based on different types of passages – factual, literary and narrative, [Literary aptitude and vocabulary]. A total of 50 questions will be asked from each language section out of which 40 questions to be attempted.
• Section II will consist of domain-specific questions. For CUET BA LLB 2023, Section II will have questions on legal aptitude, knowledge of the law, constitution, polity and other such subjects.

CUET BA LLB 2023 syllabus

The NTA will release the CUET LLB 2023 syllabus for candidates appearing in the examination along with the exam notification. There will be 100 multiple choice questions in CUET LLB 2023. These will be asked from six subjects as mentioned below.

CUET Pattern Specific Info 

• A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken (One of the languages chosen needs to be in lieu of Domain specific subjects)
• Section II offers 27 Subjects, out of which a candidate may choose a maximum of 6 Subjects.
• Section III comprises General Test.
• For choosing Languages (upto 3) from Section IA and IB and a maximum of 6 Subjects from Section II and General Test under Section III, the Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended University.
