MH CET Law 2023 5 year Law

The State Common Entrance Test (CET), Maharashtra announced the exam dates of MHCET Law 2023 for the five-year LLB and three-year LLB courses. MHCET Law 2023 for the five-year LLB course will be held on April 1, 2023, and for the three-year LLB course, it will be held on two days - May 2 and 3, 2023. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law or MH CET Law is a state-level law entrance exam in Maharashtra. State CET Cell, Maharashtra conducts MH CET law for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes offered by the law colleges in the state of Maharashtra. A total of 147 law colleges accepts MH CET law scores. These colleges offer around 10,860 seats in 5-year LLB programmes and 16,240 seats in 3-year LLB.

The CET Cell, Maharashtra will soon launch the MH CET law 2023 exam portal. 

Official notification

The CET Cell has released the examination notification for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB on January 08, 2023.

Release of application form  

The application form of MH CET law 2023 will be released in January 2023 at cetcell.mahacet.org.

Release of admit card card

The admit card of MH CET 2023 Law  will be released around 10 days before the entrance exam. 

MH CET law 2023 exam dates 

5-year LLB exam date - April 1, 2023
3-year LLB exam date
 - May 2-3, 2023

The entrance exam for 3-year LLB will be conducted on multiple days and slots. While the 5-year LLB entrance test was held on a single day, in multiple slots.

MH CET law answer key 

The CET Cell does not release the answer key for MH CET Law. However, candidates will be able to get exam analysis and unofficial answer keys post the conduct of the exam.

MH CET law results

The result of MH CET law 2023 will be announced soon after the examination. The MH CET Law 2023 result will be released in the form of all India merit lists and individual scorecards.   

Counselling and seat allotment 

Also known as the Centralized Admission Process, the MH CET law counselling 2023 is held in online mode, in three rounds. Candidates with non-zero CET scores can participate in MH CET law CAP 2023.

MHCET Law 2023 Eligibility Criteria

MHCET Law MAH-LLB (5 Years) Eligibility Criteria

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra prescribes the MHCET law eligibility criteria 2023 for 5-year LLB programmes offered by various law colleges. The MHCET law 2023 eligibility criteria cover the minimum conditions one needs to fulfill before filling out the application form.

MH CET law eligibility criteria 2023 - 5-year integrated law:

  • Qualifying exam: The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam (including 3-year diploma in engineering)
  • Minimum marks: Maharashtra state candidates needs to secure a minimum aggregate of: 45% - General category, 40% - SC/ST, 42% - VJ / DT / NT(A) / NT / O.B.C./ S.B.C. category.
  • Others: Candidates who have passed senior secondary or obtained a first-degree certificates through distance education or correspondence method are also eligible for admission.

MH CET Law 2023: Application form

The exam is conducted only in the Online Mode in Multiple Sessions if required, by the competent authority. Check MH CET Law Application Form

Step 1: Candidates should Register successfully their Online Application Form for MH CET Law 2023 at www.dhepune.gov.in and www.mahacet.org.

Step 2: After successfully registering for the exam, candidates need to fill in personal information like name, parents name, Gender, DOB and other educational information.

MH CET Law Exam Pattern 2023

State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra offers 2 varieties of LLB courses (5 Years & 3 Years). And there will be separate exams for both courses. Both Exams contain Multiple Choice Questions. And the Question Paper will appear in English and Marathi Languages. Appearing applicants are given 2 hours to complete the MH CET Law Exam 2023.   1. Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning:This section will test the candidate’s interest in the study of Law, Legal aptitude, and problem-solving ability. Questions will be framed with the help of legal prepositions and a set of facts to which the said prepositions have to be applied. Some prepositions may not be true in the real sense. Candidates will have to assume the truth of these prepositions and answer the questions drawing well-supported conclusions.
  2. General Knowledge of Current Affairs:The topics such as History (Ancient. Medieval and Modern), Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics, and the Current Affairs of the past One Year. The subject is to assess the knowledge of recent happenings and awareness of the world.
  3. Logical and Analytical Reasoning:The subject is to test the candidate’s ability to identify patterns, and logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It will include wide analogies, completing arguments, drawing well-supported conclusions, reasoning by analogy, and applying principles or rules. Further, the subject is to measure the ability to understand the structure. relationship and to draw logical conclusions about the structures. It includes reasoning deductively from the set of statements and rules or principles that describes the relationship among persons, things, or events.
  4. English:This section will consist of questions on the areas like Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies, etc.) Proficiency (Idioms and Phrases, word Substitution, Sentence Improvement, rearrangement, fill in the blanks, etc) English Usage Errors (Common errors, Spotting errors, inappropriate usage of words, spelling mistakes, etc.) English Comprehension.
  5. Mathematical Aptitude:This section is to test the numerical ability of candidates. The mathematics questions will be set from 10th Std. level of various topics including Profit and Loss, Speed, and Distance, Time and Work, Algebra, Average, and Venn Diagram.
