Success Mantra: Congratulations on your CLAT 2023 results! How are your feelings about this achievement?
Simran Sidhu: I have no words, really. For the first time in my life, I realized that one can have tears in their eyes in joy.
Success Mantra: Tell us something about yourself. Where did you complete your schooling and about your family?
Simran Sidhu: I completed class 10th in 2021 from The Renaissance School, Mansa, Punjab and will be taking the 12th board in the coming month. In Class 11, I enrolled myself in Success Mantra Smart Coaching for a two years classroom program. My father is a Govt. servant and my mother is a homemaker.
Success Mantra: What motivated you to choose law as a career? When did you decide to become a lawyer?
Simran Sidhu: It started with a feeling of humanity; we see people around who are deprived of their basic rights. So, I want to help such people in whatever way I can.
Success Mantra: Is this your first attempt? When did you start your preparations for the CLAT exam?
Simran Sidhu: Yes, this is my first attempt. I started my CLAT preparations in Class 11th.
Success Mantra: How much time did you devote to self-study? What do you think is better, coaching or self-study?
Simran Sidhu: I used to study 2-3 hours daily for my CLAT 2023 exam. Coaching indeed helps you better with your CLAT preparations.
Success Mantra: Which subject is your weak one and which is the strongest?
Simran Sidhu: I don’t feel that I have any weak subjects, nor did I feel any pressure during the preparations. My favorite subjects are Logical Reasoning and Current Affairs.
Success Mantra: How was the CLAT UG preparation different from the early days to just a month before the exam?
Simran Sidhu: A month before my exam, I exceeded my self-study hours from 2-3 to 5-6.
Success Mantra: What was your exam day strategy? What was the roughest and the easiest section according to you?
Simran Sidhu: My strategy for CLAT 2023 exam day was to first attempt the Current Affairs questions first, then the Legal Reasoning subject followed by English, Logical Aptitude and the last Quantitative Techniques. The easiest section was Logical Reasoning. I scored highest into this section too.
Success Mantra: Which college is your dream college for studying law? What is your aspiration in the field of law and which specialization would you be interested in?
Simran Sidhu: My dream college is NLSIU or NALSAR. I have not decided on the specialization, but out of all I'm interested in Judiciary.
Success Mantra: To whom do you attribute your successful CLAT topper journey?
Simran Sidhu: My parents, as well as, my teachers are the biggest supporters of my journey.
Success Mantra: What would you suggest to future CLAT aspirants in terms of preparation, attitude etc.?
Simran Sidhu: Give your 100% during the preparations and you will get the result.
