- The qualifying Examinations Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate programmes offered by the University of Delhi shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
- Aggregate of 60% marks in the qualifying examination based on a simple average of the percentage scored in four subjects: one language English, Mathematics and any two other subject mentioned in the following list.

- English/ Verbal Ability:Etymology & Roots, Idioms & Phrases, Analogies, Antonyms-Synonyms, Foreign Words Noun & Pronoun Errors, Subject-Verb Agreement, Prepositions and Conjunctions, Tenses, Modifiers & Parallelism, Reading Comprehension, Inference based passages Syllogisms, Logical Consistency, Deductive Reasoning
- Logical Reasoning: Coding & Decoding, Symbol Based Logic, Family Tree & Directions, Arrangements: Linear, Circular, Matrix Arrangements, Groups & Conditionality, Logical Series, Selection Criteria, Input-Output, Analogies, Odd one out, Logical Puzzles, Calendar and Clock.
- Business & General Awareness: Business and Economy, Awards and Honors, Brands, logos, taglines, Company/Business entities, Days and Dates, Government and Politics, International Bodies/News, Literature and Media, Personalities, Science & Technology, Sports and Movies, Trade/Business terminologies, Books & authors, Arts & Music, Indian History, and World History.

- Duration of the examination: 2 hours or 120 minutes
